The people behind Combat Coach
Combat Coach is not a corporate product. The app is built in Berlin by someone who trains himself — and who wanted to solve the problem every person standing at a heavy bag without a coach knows.
The founder builds Combat Coach in Berlin — and trains himself: active in martial arts for over a decade, currently with a clear focus on Muay Thai, plus boxing and kickboxing. Combat Coach isn't built at a desk; it comes out of the same training reality it's meant to fix — the same clock, the same bag, the same three combinations that start repeating themselves. The training logic behind the ComboSim timer and the guides on this site comes from exactly that experience, not from theory.

Why Combat Coach exists
Solo training in fight sports rarely fails on conditioning — it fails on the double role. Standing alone at the bag, you have to be coach and athlete at once: inventing combinations, watching the clock, managing intensity. The result is predictable and has little to do with a real fight.
Combat Coach takes the coaching role off your shoulders. The ComboSim timer calls out combinations, runs the rounds and sets the pace. You only have to do one thing: react and strike — exactly what was missing from training alone at the bag, before the app existed.
How the content on this site is made
The guides here are not filler written for search engines. They follow the same principles as the app:
- One source for technique and structure — combinations, round formats and drill order match the training logic built into Combat Coach.
- Traceable structure — every drill is named, placed in context and given a concrete purpose, rather than listed loosely.
- Visible update date — every page states when it was last revised.
- Corrections welcome — spotted a mistake? Write to info@combatcoach.org. Feedback from the gym floor is explicitly wanted.
